OFFER CLOSED. No more booties right now. Thanks.
A friend gave me quite a few of these medical booties. I wanted something to put over down slippers in winter for that midnight call of the wild. Get back to hammock pull off - my dry and clean down slippers/socks go back in hammock.

While these aren't perfect, not waterproof enough for around camp, they are good enough for the quick trip out on packed snow and back. (They actually did stay on when I was postholing in snow up over the bootie in the yard, not that you want to do that out on the trail). My down slippers have a foam footbed in them so cold powdery snow doesn't melt and wet anything for a short trip. Wet sloppy snow makes everything wet/damp.

I have extras to send to others who might want to play with them to decide if they want to make or purchase something similar but more durable and waterproof.

Anyway, if you're interested, shoot me a pm and I'll mail you a set.

Great idea HC. These are water, and shall we say bodily fluid, proof. They are designed to fit diminutive surgical nurses to brawling orthopedic surgeons/ex-linebackers so they stretch a bunch for large feet/shoes/slippers. I have my own source :) but want to encourage others to try.

So Happy Camper was nice enough to go through the effort of sending booties out for free. It got me thinking about all the wonderful things people do on this site and the great way we treat each other. I've been wanting to donate again, but just never got around to it. Thanks HC for the little push to do the right thing. :)
