Since I knew the temperature would be dropping to 0 C over the weekend I knew I had to add something to the Clark to keep my bottom warm. After much deliberation (and forum reading) I opted for the reflective windshield units. I bought a truck size model that looked like aluminized bubble wrap and off I went.

The bottom line is that it worked like a charm. I did have few spare clothes in the uder pockets of the hammock but the reflector really made the difference. The lowest temperature was -1 C and my 'posterior' was toasty. I did use a -12 C rated bag but the bottom really compresses. I'll see how this works as the temperatures get even colder.

I can't recall whcih of the forums mentioned the Windshield Reflector since I read so many. It sounded like an inexpensive way to gain some additional insulation. It worked very for well me but in general I am a warm sleeper.
