Cannibal, et al,

We will be using the yet to debute JRB Mt Washinton-3 under quilt.....

So.... the MAHHA attendees will be the first folks, not nammed Jack (except Dgrav who is hiking with us :)), who will get to see, touch, play with the MW-3...Mt Washington-3 first production run models still expected to debute at Trail Days...:D

MW-3, hmmm? Hopefully the kids and I will see you at MAHHA.

I talked to DGrav yesterday. Will you please take a look-see at his pack before you start hiking to verify 13 #s pre-water weight? I think he may have forgotten something... like his Adwalla bars :) . Now that I think of it, he said his sleep setup weighed 6 lbs all in. But he didn't say it was actually IN his pack... Maybe you and Smee should do a quick check of your packs when you look at DGrav's pack. Anything extra been added?

Have a great hike!

It's creeping up in weight already! I added some more food (no Odwalla bars), a camera, and some extra clothes. Now it is 15lbs without water.

DGrav, you live near where I grew up. (Holland, PA)
At 15lb sans water for a week trip, you have a light
setup. I can't wait to see it at the hang and compare notes.
You and the Jacks have a nice hike in.
I may be starting at RT 17 on Wed. or Rt. 40 on Thurs., so we may cross paths.
Be sure to sign shelter logs with time.

My setup pretty straight forward JRB BRMB and quilts in a Mariposa Plus pack.

My big weight savings over last year is ditching my pump and going with an inline filter and going from a 3lb 10oz pack to a 24oz one.

It's all the other stuff that adds up.

JayS,

Yeh.... Dgrav already admits to "some creeping weight"..... we are going to put some LOADED SUBWAY Subs on the top of the packs for the first nights dinner.... That will adda few pounds ... :D.... But sure beats ramen noodles and odwalla bars:rolleyes:

See ya at the MAHHA.
