No, there's no time limit involved. If someone makes a 'pending questions' claim, but someone else makes a firm 'I'll Take It' claim, the second one gets it.
However, in this thread, if Sol had responded when the question was answered, he would have had a chance to confirm his claim before sidewinder posted.
Thank you for clarifying this. I appreciate the way this forum is run. Thoughtful moderation and decisions like this confirm my belief in this community.
Thank you again,

I have been seeing a lot of "I'll take it pending questions".
If someone wants to send a lower offer then that is not a "I'll take it" and they should not post a "I'll take it unless they are buying it as posted by the OP.

Mods,
It seems that there is a need to revisit the "I take it" rule for reclarification. There seems to be a loop hole in the system of "I will take it, pending question". If buyer has a question that needs clarification and writes I will take it, pending question, and a person writes straightout "I will take it" does the second one automatically overide the first post because agreed terms posted by OP?
I find the OP does not always post clear, and concerning questions sometimes about a item, and if there is a deal to be had, and the clarification of the item is not described. Many individuals write, including myself have done it to snag a item because its a deal by writing " I will take it, pending question", later finding out that the item is not as described. I know some people have bought from me and missed out because they wanted clarification first through PM and but per HF rules, I take it, always overides an item.
Not to drag this conversation on further, but a loop hole has been created, and needs clarification on HF rules for commitment of buying vs pending question to buy. Please address this issue for the community on the For Sale rules.
