Very nice!
The tarp is flying nicely!
Ummm.... where's the hammock?
Very Nice .. does it have the drop down doors ??
No it doesn't. This tarp started out with the intentions of being around a 9+ oz tarp. That is the actual weight of the 1.1 sil-nylon. I didn't take into account the weight of the reinforcements, tie-outs, holding hardware, zing-it lines, carabiners, seam sealer, snakeskin, holding bag, etc ... I thought those items weightwise would be negligable, however those "extras" added an additional 7 ozs to the overall weight, bringing the total weight up to 15 ozs. My WB Superfly tarp comes in under two pounds, so If I continue to continue to add extra weight by adding my doors, I'll be defeating my initial purpose, I'd just as soon use the superfly. I still have more material and may try some detachable velcro doors, it shouldn't be too much of an issue in terms of construction, additional weight is my main consideration; so I'll see how that goes... The tarp as it stands now has ample space so I don't think getting wet from the rain is any longer an issue, it only won't be very protective from strong wind gust. I'm sure it will still make a very nice three season tarp, while my superfly can become my cold weathered tarp.
