So I'm finishing up my plans for a TQ and UQ but I'm having trouble understanding why I'm seeing people talk about a 2" and 1" seam allowance? I googled it and I just don't understand why people are having such a big allowance.... Please help me understand.
Are they talking about both sides? Or they could be talking about rolled hems or other large hems like felled and french.
alot of the fabrics people use on here are pretty slippery, the more seam allowance you have sometimes makes dealing with these fabrics a little easier i'm guessing

You would rather have too much, than too little. You can always cut it down.

I like to use 1/2"rolls on my roll hem. I find it slips a lot less and you get a channel past the stitch. If you can doa smaller roll then get you some.
