Hi from Charleston, SC

Hi There!

Awesome to find this forum through my friend "Streamline". Backpacker here from the early 90's. I'm in my lower 30's now. :D Started with going with father to the Smokies, and haven't looked back. What started with a crew of me, my Father, and his friends has now evolved into me and my friends (hiking crew of around 15 friends).

Its the best time in the world to be out on the trail with good friends. We hope to have our kids join us in then next few years.

Anyway, we've all just recently gotten into lighter packing, and are evolving to hammocks. I recently got the ENO DblNest, and with help from Streamline, I have some great Whoopee Slings now. About to switch those out for the rope in the ends of the ENO.

Just now started making paracord bracelets at the house for the crew. What fun!

9 of us are planning on our early October hike to the Smokies to test out our hammocks.

Can't wait!

Pretty cool to see some SC people in here. I have a fellow hammock buddy in Greenville, one in Charleston with me, and now converting my father and brother to hammockers.

I'm ordering some AmSteel as we speak to make whoopie slings for them(with the help of my bud from Greenville).

Yeah Flatline, its a great city to do tons of things. I think restaurant week is still going on.

we ate the other night at a place 3 courses for 30 bucks. its like half off!

Hey Rev. I was able to get some from the Rivers Ave. store.
I work in Mt. P, and that store was completely out....

Got my needling tool in hand, and ready to learn it again with my budddy streamline on Saturday. What a great way to spend a Bday, making hammock items with a bud!

10-4 on restaurant week! we where there 2 nights and we went to Magnolia's and Hyman's. i think i put on 25 pounds:D we stayed at the Ansonborough Inn.
i'm gonna have to order some 1/8" amsteel for stouter whoopies:lol:
