Here is a video of my recent 4 day 3 night hike on Laurel Fork Creek trail and others in the Big South Fork National Recreation Area.
On days 1&4 the weather was great but days 2&3 were a little wet:)
The video does not have a lot of hammock specific footage. It does have lots of scenery shots along the trail and how we dealt with a couple wet days on the trail. Rayn came up with a great way of having a small fire under a tarp. It was a good test for our gear and everything stayed nice and dry.
I included a little show & tell on some gear starting at about minute 13:00 including Dutch Clips, diy bridge hammock, top quilt, cook kit, and pack. Just boring stuff that only somebody like me might watch:D
Looking forward to getting back there in November with some of the members here. Here is the link to the trip Roche has started planning on Nov 18-20. Part of the loop will be on the trail we set up our rainy days camp. I found a hammock campsite for this or future trips that can handle several hammocks. I included some footage in the video.

Thanks for the video and the techniques, Hangnout. BSF is an awfully pretty place. Yes, that campsite looks like a hammock haven for sure!

Beautiful country there. I love the streams and the leaf carpet. Nice idea about the rock top fire. Thanks for sharing.

It is a great place to hike. The little fire trick made the time under the tarp better for sure. Thanks for the comments!

Nice video, We were at Pickett State park last weekend. It was a great weekend. You can still see the burned out area from a few yrs ago but it is nice see all the new growth of oak trees.

Looks like you were not that far away on Saturday. It was almost a perfect day for hiking Saturday.
