OK, I was able to set-up and snap a couple of shots before the skies opened up. I don't have a clue how to put a thumbnail photo in the thread so you'll just have to check the gallery.
No swimsuit model, but I did put one of me  in the hammock just for you HE!
I like that hammock better every time I see it. Any chance of getting a close up of the whipping?
Do you sinch the hammock tight when you set up or are you adjusting the sag by how tightly or loosely you hang it? Is there a chance of over tightening the hammock and damaging the bug net?
There is a pic of the whipping out there now.
The way it's cut 'seems' to set the sag, to a point. So far every time I've hung it, I pulled it moderately tight and was comfortable.
The way the zipper is built (just below the bug netting) I would be more concerned about doing damage getting into the hammock if it was really tightened down tight. The opening is kind of like a big mouth and I was worried about the corners the first few times I got in and out of it. I was concerned my weight would tear the corners. I have yet to hear any of those little noises that make you listen real close.
I've checked the stitching everytime I've taken it down to see if anything is giving and so far no problems.
Thanks for the whipping pic.
I noticed in most pics of a warbonnet setup the shoulder area that has 2 tie out points is set up using a trekking pole. I noticed you staked those tie out to the ground. Have you tried it with a trekking pole or similar instrument or have you just staked it to the ground? I would think staking it to the ground may make it harder to get in and out due yo the position of the netting area.
Yes, I usually set it up with a trekking pole. I was in a hurry tonight to set-up due to big, ugly, black clouds here in the Sunshine State. So, I just staked it out. I was actually surprised that it didn't get in the way climbing in, but I guess I'm so used to crawling through the bottom of my HH that I didn't really notice.
I did have the thought tonight of a Peez (sp?) Dispenser. Like I said before, you kind of climb in and out of a big mouth. Made me laugh. :)
I can see it now, warbonnets painted with faces that you climb into. That could be frightening!
