Introduce yourself
I usually don't trek very far,
when all around me black bears are.
Hi...
I'm located in the lower Catskill Mountains of NYS.
I'm experienced in fresh water fishing, hunting small and big game indigenous to this area, and am a former trapper (OMG, here comes PETA)...!!
Several years ago I motored 5,000 miles to Alaska for a vacation, and ended up staying there in cold country for twelve years...!! Since I took time to "smell the roses" on the trip up, it took me twenty-one days. Had many memorable experiences along the way.
Am a bit of a minimalst when it comes to camping, and am experienced in survival. I ocassionally host a one day class in Survival Woodsmanship.
I'm not a hanger yet, but it seems like a good, if not better, way to camp.
