Scout Dad
Howdy from SouthWest Fl, I've lurked only a couple of days before joining this fine forum. I have a scout who reached 2nd class in just 6 months of scouting. My son has been in scouts from bobcat on. He has Elos Danlos which is not a deal breaker (unless contact sports is your passion) lucky for me my son loves the outdoors... can I get an Amen.
I had him in a hobo hammock yesterday prepping for an extreme campout. I must admit that I had initiated a couple of suspension techniques I picked up from the contibuters here on the forum... thank you folks for that.
Thank you in advance for reading and dealing in the future with some of my noob questions. jander.

welcome to the forum. i, like your son, am a scout, and let me tell ya: using a hammock during the scout camps make the whole expirience 100 times better

thanks for the kind words... happy hanging.

Hey scouter, welcome to HF ... a lot of great scout news here and good job getting your boy outside. I got just over 30 years scouting youth and adult combined, using a hammock extended my backpacking career as I grew out (not up...never up)

Welcome to another Scouter

Welcome to the MADNESS!!!! Great shot of the kid in the hobo...

Hey welcome to the gang. Two boys in scouts and a girl in girl scouts. Mom is a girl scout leader and I am ASM for the boys. This is a great place to find references to help the boys hang.

Hello and Welcome to the Forums from Canada!

Hello from a fellow Scouter. I'm a scoutmaster for a troop in Lilburn. Sounds like your son is on the fast track! My son earned his Eagle at 14.
Like djminnesota and FatDaddy said, using a hammock greatly increased my enjoyment. My son and I started hammocking about 1 1/2 years ago and I've never slept better.
Welcome
