Hey from Florida
Hey Y’all
New to hanging, kind of. Attempted a hammock conversion from ground dwelling a couple of years ago. Just didn’t feel right. Gonna give this hammock thing another try, so I’m doing more research and may be asking a few questions :-)
I’ll be using a Grand Trunks Ultralight hammock with a Warbonnet “Travel net”. Haven’t settled on a suspension system yet, either double ring cinch straps or Whoopie slings. Maybe I’ll get it figured out this time :-)

Welcome to the forums from Guam. There is a wealth of knowledge on this site up for grabs, all you gotta do is dive deep into here and you will find all you could ever think of. Keep your butt off the ground and warm. Welcome Arrow.

Welcome from Gainesville!
If you've got any specific questions, feel free to PM me. I may not know the answer, but I can probably point you in the direction to find it!
Also, keep your eye out for group hangs coming up in the Fall; there are usually quite a few as soon as things cool down. There isn't anything like being able to see how others solve the various issues associated with this for getting ideas! The Third Annual Florida Hang is already in the planning stages for MLK weekend in January, at Buck Lake in Ocala National Forest.
Hope to see you there!

Welcome from South Florida. There's lots of eager help here to make it work for you this time. Feel free to ask away. The "General Hammock Talk" forum is probably a good place to start.
We have a very active community here in Florida, once the temperature, humidity and bugs all decrease.

Welcome from Central Florida. I'm fairly new to the boards and mostly browse the endless hammocking knowledge that resides here. The hang in Ocala sounds fun. I'm heading up to my dad's hometown in WV and hanging this weekend. Can't wait.
Anyway, welcome again, and I hope you find the answers you're seeking.

in my experience, if you try some once and you come back to it again then its meant to be... it may just be that you didn't have the chance to tweak it to your unique demands...
keep trying, keep learning and keep hanging...
as its already been said there's a wealth of knowledge here and there's prob a million different ways to do the same thing, so keep being thirsty for knowledge

Maybe we'll see you at the Florida Hang in January. You should have your suspension worked out by then. :D
