Welcome aboard....from a fellow Alabamian.
I am not sadly! I have a wedding to go to this weekend, so me and a buddy are going to Little River State Forrest and sadly my new hammock won't be in my hands yet. Ill be stuck in my MSR Hubba Hubba...which is my go to tent. I hope to make it to the next hang though.
I work at Alabama Outdoors here in Mobile and I have had plenty of people coming in and buying ENOs and every time they I try and get them to make their own slap straps and point them to this website. Had a few guys come in the other day going to the AT and the guy had 2 days until he left and decided to make his own hammock AND came in and showed me his work. I was quite impressed!
Welcome from the plains....
Welcome from across the bay! I was just in the store a couple weeks ago getting fit for a pack. The ENO's were tempting but I'm saving for a Clark.
If you work in AO, I'm the guy who comes in every now and then talking about hammocks and buying stuff. I was last in there a couple weeks ago talking about going to smoke school in Mobile. I showed one of the guys in there warbonnet's website. Anyway maybe you remember me.
I had off most of last week so it wasn't me, but all the guys (gals) are starting to get more into hammock camping. We have a great staff these days, knowledgeable people (which we havent had in the past) but we are currently trying to get HH and WB gear in our store. Our Homewood store already carries HH.......I might have to get a Hammock Forums member discount going for the store haha
It would be awesome to be able to buy whoopies and under quilts from AO. The sorority chicks wouldn't know what the hell it was all about. They usaully stay in the North Face sector anyway.
Cool, next time im in ill ask for Wogs. I got to spend my $20 rewards soon.
