Hello from Maryville TN!!!

Well to start off I picked up on the HF forums from watching Shug's videos on hammock camping. I bought an ENO hammock when I bought my Osprey Atmos backpack and my Big Agnes 2 man tent. I live in Maryville TN of course. The view from my back porch is the Smoky Mountains. I love the view and I've lived here almost all of my life. I just recently started backpacking, so I'm still a "noob" at it. I'm learning from practicing my setup in the back yard with the boys (17 and 20).

Even though I have a 2 man tent I am REALLY interested in hammocking. Just like with tents, hammocks have a lot of choices and everyone has thier own way of doing things. I look forward to learning from all of you.

We plan on hitting site 17 here at Abrams Creek starting this Wed and staying until Friday morning. Wish us luck! It's our first real backpacking getaway.

Welcome, my wife spent her high school and college years in Maryville and I was there for a short while. Beautiful country!

I'm from South Carolina, so we drive back and forth during the year. Sometimes we choose to drive through Maryville just to get off the Interstate highways for a change. You certainly are close to the Smokies. I'm jealous.
