Welcome to the forums from Tennessee!

Welcome to the forum Denmonkey!
Another alternative bug net is the Hug designed by Dejoha. It is a half bug net design that would cut the weight down. There are instructions on how to make it in this thread. I don't know of any commercial versions so it looks like a DIY project.

G'Day,
Welcome to the foruns from another Novacastrian, I'd be happy to catch up for a Hike/Hang.

Thanks all for the international welcomes.
good to see some Aussies in there too.
Spotted the hug bug nets ?? but would prefer full coverage. Seems I have some research to do.
Although I do have some time up my sleeve before summer gets here and the bugs start coming back to life.
G'day there GD, hoping to get another hang in the wattagans in the next week/fortnight or so before I commit to taking it on a hike in rather than the tent.
Also planning a hike/overnight in around 3 weeks or so with a mate. yet to be decided but may be Barrington could be on the books.
Will keep you posted if you're interested.
cheers brett

Always interested in a chance to hang out in the bush, my last hang in the Watagans was Anzac day with 50kph+ winds all night that tested out the gear.
I'll PM you my email address.
Cheers,
gd.
