I might be able to come up Saturday and spend the night if there is room for one more hammock?
Early Sat morning. What time do the lock up Friday night?
I talked to ranger Kevin today & got answers to a few more questions.
No they do not lock any gates so you will be able to get in.
Something for all of us to keep in mind, there is a time (I don't remember the time, maybe 10pm?) when campers need to keep it reasonably quite out of respect for others in the camp site.
You do not pay anything at the gate, just tell them you are with the hammockes camping in the group site.
The group site was paid for & reserved in advance by RockDawg & he will be repaid from the money brought in by the raffle.
Speaking of the raffle, please remember to bring proper change in $10 increments for how ever many raffle tickets you want to buy.
We will have two fire rings that we can use. One in the center of our group site & another (that we used in Jan) beside the amphitheater. That will allow our group to spread out some as people feel the need.
Ranger Kevin said that a lady who will be doing an astronomy thing will be camping next to the amphitheater, so we will want to be respectful of her.
I'm not sure which night she will be doing the astronomy thing, but that will probably be of interest to some of our group as well.
Someone (Gunner maybe?) was asking if there would be electricity were we are doing the Hammock Demo. The ranger said there is not but they might be able to run a drop cord up there.
What did you have in mind?
Not sure if I mentioned it but I did invite Rangers Kevin & Marceia (& their significant others) to drop by for supper if they liked on Fri or Sat.
