I may be over-thinking this, as I have a tendency to do at times. But I'm wondering if there is an ideal ratio for ring ID size to webbing width. It seems to me that if the two are close to equal, then an undue amount of the stress would be put on the middle of the webbing. I guess the only problem with overly big rings would be that they're big.
Any of you engineering types have any thoughts on this?
