Pilot Mt State Park NC
While coming back from a week of hammock hanging along the Blue Ridge Parkway the wife and I stopped by Pilot Mt State Park in NC to check it out for a future camping trip.
It looked like just about every camp site had trees suitable for hanging a couple or more hammocks. :D
We then drove to the top of the mountain and on a clear day, you can see forever. It was a short walk to the Pilot Mt nob observation point and it occured to me that this was a photo op. I went and got my ENO DN and strung it up and had the wife take some photos. Tried to get her to get in the hammock but she wouldn't because of all the nice hard rocks underneath.

You'll find several trip reports on Pilot Mt, NC here...

But that's the first time I've seen a hammock stretched out on "Little Pinnacle":)

We did not see anyone else up at the top until we were leaving. It was cold and windy and I was wearing my fleece jacket and my rain coat/windbreaker to stay warm.
Wife said she wants to go back there to camp. :D When we toured the campground, one of the workers was putting red reserved placcards on several of the sites so I guess they were getting ready for a busy weekend.
Enjoyed your video. The next time I am there I will have to hike to the big pinnacle.

This park is very close to me! So glad you had a good time there. There's a long narrow strip of land from the park to the Yadkin River that I've wanted to hike for some time now.

Saw that on the map and thought it could be a fun hike.
