I know I've seen it covered in other threads, but can't find it. This is my first time using 1.1 from diygearsupply. I'm making a down tq. Does it matter which side is outside/inside?

If you got calendared ("downproof") fabric, there should be a shiny side and a dull side. You want the shiny side against the down ("in") and the dull side against the hammock or you ("out").
Hope it helps!
I got the 1.1 2nds. It said it was calendared. Thanks for the response.
never paid that much attention, and it never leaked...
It is my understanding the calendaring process runs the fabric _between_ hot rollers so each side would be treated the same. _Coated_ fabrics will be shiny on one side and not the other but I don't think that applies to calendared. In other words... don't matter.
While i agree it probably doesn't matter which side is out for the purpose of containing down, calendaring can be one sided or two. If a single piece of fabric is run between the rollers, it is "calendared two sides". If two pieces of fabric are run through together, only the outer surfaces against the rollers are calendared, resulting in "calendared one side".
