How to Use the Regional Subforums (and stay current on upcoming trips)
Please post all trip planning threads in the appropriate regional subforum. This will make it easier for everyone to stay informed about upcoming trips in that area. If you live near the border of one of our categories, simply subscribe to whichever subforum threads you want to.

Here's the breakdown:
- Northeast - MD, DE, NJ, PA, NY, CT, RI, MA, NH, VT, ME
- Southeast - VA, NC, SC, GA, FL, WV, KY, TN, AL, AR, MS, LA
- Midwest - ND, SD, NE, KS, MN, IA, MO, WI, IL, MI, IN, OH
- Southwest - OK, TX, NM, AZ
- West - MT, WY, CO, ID, UT, NV, WA, OR, CA
- All Others - AK, HI, Other Countries
The Forum Subscription Method
If you subscribe to a forum or subforum, you can get email notifications whenever a new thread is posted in that forum. (You'll also get notified when threads are updated, but this isn't very useful.)
- Click on the subforum you'd like to subscribe to.
- Click on "Forum Tools" on the top right menu bar. (You won't see "Forum Tools" if you're viewing a thread...make sure you're in the forum view listing all the thread titles.)
- Click on "Subscribe to this Forum"
- Choose daily or weekly notifications, and you will get an email whenever a new thread appears in this thread.
The RSS Feed Method
You can subscribe to the RSS feed for the forum and recieve new updates about the forum in your favourite RSS feed reader. Here are the RSS feed links for the regional subforums
If you don't use an RSS reader but you do use Mozilla's Firefox browser, you can also subscribe to the feed as a live bookmark. This will add a folder to your bookmarks with all the newest hangouts.
The Bookmark Method
Maybe you don't like to get emails from hammockforums.net or you are unable to and you don't use an RSS reader. You can also create a bookmark to do a custom search for new posts in any subforum.
The easiest way is to right-click on one of the links below and choose "Bookmark this link" (or whatever similar option your browser presents). You can't just click the link and then bookmark it because that will point to an expiring cached search page.
