OK, so I'm looking for down and having palpitations over price. I've found this stuff which says its for pillows. I'm guessing it won't reallyh work for a UQ but, then again, my needs here in Coastal Texas are not anywhere near what they'd be in Northern climes. The lowest I can realistically expect temps to go would be in the 30* range.
Would this stuff work, and what are the other alternatives?
Yes, it will work. Do you know what fill it is? 600? 700? If you find out, I can tell you the correct amount for your UQ. You can just pick the feathers out and stuff the down. I wouldn't worry if you leave a few feathers in - won't hurt anything.

Have you checked prices at Downlite? Sometimes you can find a coupon for them. I bought some not long ago when they had free shipping.
I've been debating pulling the trigger on this option.
