Tombigbee and or Trace State Parks in Mississippi

Plannin a trip to Tulsa OK in Sept to visit grandchildren. Looking at possibilility of stopping in Mississipi for one night as this would be the halfway point. Wanted to know if anyone has hung at Trace or Tombigbee State Parks and their thoughts on the area.

Tombigbee SP has some nice camping. The sites surround a small lake, and there are ample trees. It's a relatively small park, but nice and quiet.

Take a short walk along Bear Creek (over the cable suspension bridge) if you stay there. There are some neat bluffs along the way.
