HELP!! Need to Down Proof my Down Proof ripstop
Friends, I need your help.
I made a top quilt out of 1.1 Down Proof ripstop. I used two colors (Green \ Brown), but the brown (supposedly down-proof) ripstop is allowing down to escape through the material.
- Is there anyway to "Down Proof" 1.1 calendared ripstop material?
- Any cleaver fixes for replacing the bad fabric?
- What would happen if I sewed another layer of down-proofed ripstop over this one?
Thank you for your help!
Why not say who the vendor is?
Mistakes are made, sometimes by the customer, sometimes by the retailer. In the latter case, his margin should be sufficient to cover mistakes and losses.
(There is an established outdoor fabric vendor who is very explicit about where responsibility rests for testing "down-proofness" of a particular synthetic fill.)
Why should other HF members risk getting fabric unsuitable to their purpose? Where's the loyalty to the membership?
