Neat Sheet
I've heard of them being used to make weather shields for the hammock bottom, and I guess they could be used for an in-hammock vapor barrier.
It's a sheet you fold really neatly!...8^)....I could not resist!!!!!
It's sorta like Frogg Toggs material, only much, much softer.
Whoever told you scrubs are "liquid proof" obviously has never worn them. Tell 'em to come do a shift with me some time and we'll see how "liquid proof" they are some time. :D Seriously, the Neat Sheet is used for vapor barriers and weather shields among other things. I've seen folks put them over their CCF pads, etc.
I guess I'm missing something. Why are they good when applied to backpacking/camping?
You can read of their uses in these threads:

...originally sold as table cloths for picnic tables.
I bought one but didn't find it provided any benefits (for me) beyond my light fleece throw and a ¼" CCF pad when hammocking. And now I don't use the throw...
