the multicam is 70D 1.9oz DWR treated ripstop. It is also IR compliant. I bought it direct from Duro industries, currently the only place you can get the breathable multicam ripstop. You have to buy in 5 yard increments. At 6.68 a yard plus shipping it's a little pricey, but I have a thing for multicam.
The fabric feels really nice. No stretch. The inside layer is the 1.5oz ripstop calendared fabric from www.DIYGearsupply.com. They have everything you'd need to make a hammock, and great prices too. I weigh 260 lbs, and this hammock holds me without any trouble. It is the most comfortable hammock I've made to date.
Cool. Thanks! I too have a thing for Multicam. I'm not quite ready to make a DIY hammock but when I am I may consider grabbing some of that fabric. Maybe I'll save it until I know I can make a good hammock :)
I want to know the story behind the ripped hammock!
The joy of the focus group.....
