Bridge Hammock Spreader Bar Help!!

I've just about got the whole bridge hammock down pat, thanks to Grizz and his videos and a ton of other hours spent reading here.

One thing remains though - what are y'all using for holding the ends of the spreader bars in place?

I found some nice pictures of suggested 'end caps' but can't find a supplier, some tried grommets with limited success from the looks of things and some of the stuff back in 2007 looked interesting but I'm sure that by now, it's been refined upteen times around here!

I can't believe that Dutch doesn't make something specifically for this use - I am looking forward to using a bunch of his other stuff...:D

I am made little pockets out of 1 inch webbing. I sewed the webbing to cllimbing rings then a piece of tube webbing around the "waist" to make the pocket. The spreader bar will fit through the ring and into the pocket. In theroy at least.

Grizz talks about this in his vids....just stick the end tip into where the Amsteel larksheads onto the webbing. Make sense?

Aren't the climbing rings a little large or does enough of the ID get taken up with the webbing to make a snug fit?

And what do you mean 'in theory at least'...:eek: does this mean you haven't tried it?

I'll have to go back and watch the videos again for about the 5th time.

I must be missing something - I spent the time last evening watching them looking specifically for the stuff I wasn't sure of and making notes and didn't see exactly where he put the tips.
