I was thinking along the line of around Oct 5-7. Camp somewhere we can hang. Do some hiking around the area in the mornings and hike to Octoberfest in the late afternoon. I haven't been up there for the celebration in 25 years. Miss the Polka music.

Never been to big bear. I'm down, but will only be free Friday/Saturday.
I'm out in the Cerritos/Long beach area of Socal.
Open door on the event. If can only come for one day, after noon or one night please come.
Ok it looks like we have a date: Oct. 5-7. And a place: Holcomb valley camp ground or out in the tailing field.

This should give us enough time to plan ahead. Hopefully we can get more participation...the more the merrier!
I just sent out PMs to as meany SoCal hangers as I could find so if I missed some one I'm sorry. So If I missed you please let know.
Cool -- I have a dutch oven I'm dieing to try out.
I'll bring a 50gal water barrel too. If anything else is needed let me know--
Since this will be a car camping trip, I'm definitely bringing my grill for some rib eye. Going to check with the boss (wife) if I can take off that weekend to join the hang.
I'll Dutch as well If I can get the night off. Just started a new job so we'll see. Even if I can't go I can still be a resource. Let's make this happen......
