Unread Posts Button?
I dont know if it's just the way I think, but after using the "View Unread Posts" option on other forums, I find it a lot easier to check on the newer happenings on a forum.
If I just use the New Posts button, and get interrupted, I miss out on all the potential gold that has been now marked as Not New.
Dunno how hard it would be to add this, but it would be nice.
Poll added to show support, or lack thereof.

If you scroll through the pages you'll find this >>> ""The threads below have not been updated since your last visit or since forums have been marked read."" ...separating the threads ... as well as the thread titles are no longer BOLD if you've clicked (read) them ... I for one have no problems navigating through this site and the Mods here are spot on about straightening anything that goes array ... I voted NO...

If you click on "Home" in the upper left side.
On that page on the upper left side you will see "New Posts"
If you click that it will show you all the posts that have been posted since your last visit.
and under that it will show ones you haven't read yet as well.

I think there is a link for this already. Under your avatar on the home page there is a link "new posts". It will only display the posts that you have not read. Is this what your are asking for?

Bacon!
But yeah, I thought it was there already.

I almost voted bacon .. if you tried my bacon and corn Casserole you'd vote bacon...

The down arrow just before the title of the thread seen here: Attachment 29835 takes you to the first new post in that thread. This IS a "view unread posts" button, as far as I can tell. :) I'm voting for bacon...

I just hit the "new posts" or the "Today's Posts" link and keep scrolling until the break that says nothing new beyond this point. Can't read everything anyway so this works well enough for me

First I'd like to compliment whatever mods arranged for links to appear in a new tab/window. I'm trying to get the other forum I frequent to do that. (how's that for the beginning of a criticism sandwich Karl?? http://confident1.com/how-to-deliver...icism-sandwich )
I think I see OPs point. New posts will take you to...uh...new posts but I often miss posts totally without scouring through dates and post titles. Unread posts will load you up with tons of posts maybe from long past at first but once you catch up I think it's more manageable. At least it is another way of ensuring I get all content read. Then again, maybe I'm just confused about the difference.
(Sandwich cont.) What a great site this is!
