Hey y'all. Thanks to text message and a quick phone call, I was reminded about the hang. I still plan on paddling trips each day. They will be rated as to the skill required. I'll keep you posted.
Anyone have any trips they really want to do, PM me so I can see about setting them up.
Of the 3 area places I've paddled there, Silver Springs was my favorite. I enjoyed seeing the wildlife all along the trip.
Juniper Springs I'll pass on, as I "dumped" more than once. Lots of tight twists & turns. Not as fun for me.
Mental note to self, No electronics this next paddle trip.:)
There he is! Glad to hear that you are going to make it. Oh and there was a mention about patches. You don't need to get so far back into those Carolina Mountains that you forget about us. Missed you on the last 2 hangs in LWRSF. Found a new honey hole on the last hang you will like, maybe able to use it for the next Sherpa Hang, samsara willing.
As for the showers, I'll be checking out the private campground on the way up. Back in the hunting days we used a private campground at $2.00 a shower. Might be able to work out a group package price.
The NC Mountains do have my Heart & Soul. Along with a good bit of my previous bank account. But always a Hammock Camper.
Patches are being taken care of... I believe.
Yeah, get my religion periodically at Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest. Been awhile, need to attend services again before long.
Well you and the camera got your baptism last year!
That was so wrong. Funny, but wrong. ;)
