DIY layout and sewing table
Well I finally got tired of working on the floor, and put together a cutting table.
I re purposed a 6 X 8 foot therapy table and turned it into a 10 X 4 with a 6 foot wide end.
Oak edges all around and large enough to clamp the sections together.
It can be separated and stacked for storage. Space is limited as you can see. ;)
After I topped the surface with hardboard it looked pretty good. :)
Then I thought, lets sink the sewing machine in it and have a BIG sewing surface also.
Made the fixture and cut out a spot in the table to just fit the machine.
I even mounted a lazer on the ceiling joist for needle position.
I am amazed at how much easier it is to work with larger pieces of material now
