just want to hang
thats all i think abought anymore.when will i grt to hang again, if i had a place to hang at home then i would.seems like camping trips just dont come around often enough. if im not thinking of hanging, im tring to figureout how to improve my setup. thus the problem comes around again,no place to hang at home and "work out the kinks"...

Sounds like you need to build you a turtledog stand.

yea thats what ive been thinkin.foun a bamboo grove neer my work just havent had time to harvesr any

Home depot has 2x2's you can harvest for pretty cheap. I love my td stand cheapest Bedframe ever. Well come to think of it, hammock included costs less than the price of a cheap bedframe...full time is the only way to appease that craving a little.:)

I live in the county, and believe it or not, I don't own a pair of trees that will allow me to hang or test my setup. I've got to do all that in the shop, going from the roof rack of my `73 bus to a hook on the wall . . . much rather be outside!

I'm putting a wood 6x6 by 12' post in the ground this weekend about 15-18ft from one of my trees so I can camp out in my back yard just like I did as a kid; seems almost wierd doesn't it? Seriously I needed a place hang gear to clean, check, rig, etc. and I will spend an occassional night out there!

I think about it all the time. Sometimes I'll go out back when I get home and set up just for a 30 minute rest, then take it down. I sleep outside occasionally, but my wife thinks it's wierd...everyone does. I couldn't care less.
