Thanks Flrider,
Had been regularly checking the weather reports before hand... just didn't sink in HOW cold the wind chill was going to be, went straight through me. Brrrrr.
Tooo long lazing in the sub tropics does things to the mind, forgotten what real weather was like !
Food was freeze dried Miso & Tufo soup, lightweight & supprisingly tasty.
Water scooped straight from the stream. Also have some scroggin (a mixture of dried fruit, nuts, seeds etc)within reach in my side pockets, so I dont have to take off my pack all the time. The heavier stuff was back at camp.
Thanks MAD777,
Combining hammocking, wilderness camping & fishing....has got to be a winner in my book & catching fish were the icing on the cake !

Thanks for the report and sweet pics ofuros, looks like a well deserved and relaxing time out.
Sure has been a chilly cold front that we're getting and to think how warm it was a week or so ago, I thought summer was almost here, wrong! Must have been a real shock for ya coming from SE QLD(?) as I know how cold it gets down at Ebor, spent two weeks down there, at Dorrigo & surrounds and day trips out to Ebor Falls, in winter last year, had a few of days with a maximum of 7°C... and I'm used to the coastal subtropics, really makes you appreciate it!
I know how much pressure even a small trip can take off when you're tied to a mortgage too, I got a pass for a long weekend the week after next and I can't wait...

Thanks phan tom,
They say your blood thins the more time you spend warm climate....
not sure if that true or not.....maybe I'm just getting soft in my old age !
Felt like a Antarctic blast to me.
Enjoy your weekend away.
