speer top quilt mod

a while back i bought one of the old style, sewn through construction, speer top quilts that ed had on sale.
it became my favorite quilt for every night in the hammock at home. but there was one thing i didn't particularly like... the velcro that formed the footbox wasn't really comfortable when my feet laid on it & sometimes it would come apart.

so i removed it & down sized the foot box a little. i also lost about 2ozs.
it now weighs 13.1 oz. but it's a summer quilt.
