Dblhmmck made one. But I'm not sure if that's the kind you are thinking of.
I bought a new "air chair" off ebay for $25. I think you would have a hard time betting that with DIY.
I am unsure what you are looking for, but we use what we call sooky chairs when camping/hiking.
We take some netting with woven not knotted netting with 1/2" squares. We cut two pieces 24" x48" and tape every second square on three side. Like a 24x48 pillow case made of netting. We attach cords to the four corners and tie the chair between 4 trees. The closed end we tie about knee high and the open end a little lower than shoulders. Adjusted it forms a slung chair in the woods. It weights about 1/2 pound and fold very small. In colder weather we place a windshield reflector inside the chair. If you find a couple of sound dead trees you can lean then into two trees at about 45* angle and set the chair between them. If I ever learn how to post pictures I will post some.
I should just send one to shug and let him do a video.

There's a pic of dbhammocks DIY chair.. He wrote about it somewhere.
I've grown to really like sitting in my bridge. It is very, very similar to the design of a sky chair-type hammock chair when you're sitting in it, except that it is suspended from the side, not from the top. I have a plan to make a simple headrest and footrest that will be suspended from the ends of the hammock and really turn it into a recliner. I'll do that as soon as I stop reading HF posts and break out the machine and thread.
I was looking to build one, like the air chair, or the one dblhammck has. But at that price on e-bay....I'll buy and then copy. thanks for the ideas.
Finished my home made chair. Sits real comfortable. I did a single prussick know on each of the chairs side ropes, allowing the chair to recline/adjust. When rope is not under tension, you can slide ropes forward or back to achieve the amount of recline you want. They hold tight once you sit down.

Very cool. You've really jumped into this Hammock DIY with both feet. I love it!
Thanks, I am inspired by all of you. This is a great site with some really good people.
