My fun and colorful trek continues on...and on.
Wish I could video the smells of Fall))
Slept 10 hours in the hammock this night. Oh so good. It healed me.

hehehe you made me laugh:) i needed that! can't wait for #3
Dig'en that new hat shug. Looks like a wonder place to hike and hang.
Ah, this one was in time for about the last cup of joe for the morning. Yes, you're definitely styling in that MountainGoatGear hat--noticed that one right off. You're making this a better weekend for me, Shug. Thankee.
That's some protection you have there in that tarp!
Is that the "4 Season" at 8'-6" wide or the "Winter Palace" at 10'-7" wide?
I hope the knee feels better after a good night's sleep.
Ah Shug! Thanks me friend for takin' me along for the trip! Enjoying every step, every sight and sound, every wince of pain along the way.......
..........waiting patiently for the next vid.
now I'm hungry!
thankfully, not cold though.
Very pretty site. I'd have made the same call on passing on the fire. There are times a feller just wants to get calories in the storehouse, and beat-up body surrounded by downy goodness, protected from the wind, with a little bit of a sway thrown in. You can't capture that feeling in a video, but you sure can invoke the memory of it.
Happily anticipating ( like the rest of your admirers ) the next installation.
so pretty, and so cold looking. Though, your sleeping system looked super warm. It's 54*F right now, and I got warm just looking at it. :)
The colors of the leaves in the beginning were crazy. It looked like you were walking on colored tissue paper, or confetti. So beautiful.
Thanks for sharing. :) I hope your knee is all goods.
BRrrr wind. Not a fan of cold wind but am a fan of FF stove, big fan of JRB HRQ. i'm jealous you get to listen to wolves,,,around here we just get those yappy coyotes and those very silent cougars. I have an alpaca scarf and last year it became one of my favorite pieces of gear. Been thinking about a toque . Glad your knee is a bit better,,careful now,,,you know what i mean....older guys still feelin young,,,i'm older. Sometimes i don't even use my BushBuddy when its windy. Happy trails.

It's good to see you on the trail again, Shug! Mrs. Beep and I are in the woods day hiking each day this week and returning each evening for drinks/dinner/sleeping in a cabin near Grand Marais.
Keep the knee safe...have fun!
Nice little ending to my day, Shug.
Great to see someone out there in the piney woods enjoying themselves, while I'm here in the shop slaving away! Just kidding buddy.
Anxiously awaiting part 3!
HB
Can't wait for part 3
Got home tonight and could not wait to check and see if Part 2 was posted! Thanks for making the evening a little more fun and hope that knee improves for you during the night.
Lazybee
Yet another guden the Shugrow. Glad to hear the hammock therapy helped your knee a bit. Be sure and take care of it. I'd hate for something to cause you to be unable to enjoy the piney woods as much as you obviously do. Afterall who's videos would we all watch then? You know other than Fronkey, Water Monkey, Hawkeye, FireinmyBones, Grizz, BF5, Redoleary, Tendertoe, Medicine Man, ChickenWing, Blaze, BrucieHi5, Dutch, SnakeSession, Smokeeater908, Sticks, Pizza, Bluefin, SteelerNation...you see. Not enough else to watch.
Hope you get feeling better sooner rather than later. And when ever I run into you at the Gorge I got cigar for ya. No antics required.
Shugrow ... now there's a video ... actually a second video that really can make ya feel like you were there. Maybe it's just reminders of trips where those same feelings crossed my mind. Windy cold nights where just getting a warm meal and a good nights sleep were what was important but didn't distract from the solo trip in a beautiful place! Nicely done as always pal.
Hey Shug,
Another great video. Good plan to skip the fire that evening, it did look cold and windy....good time to snuggle in the down quilts. I look forward to part three.
Hope the knee gets better soon.
When were you out there. I camped at that campsite on Labor Day. The pile of firewood looked familiar. Not a very well used site. Nice video.
I too needed that))))) Thank you.
Like butter on my big head!
I humbly thankee.....
It is the 4-season one. Mighty fine))))) The hammock healed my knee.
Did wince a bit. I like that word. Many thanks.
I am just kinda lazy as well. Good nights sleep for sure.
I slept 10 hours un-interrupted. It was like tissue paper....good call. Thankee....
Heard the wolves in the morn' or early eve more. Truly a gift.
Sounds Up-Scale!
In that shop making kindling, huh???/))))
Hope to see you sometime soon....on the trail of course.
On the way.....
The hammock truly helped my knee.
Love a good cigar in the Gorge.......one of life's best wee moments.
Glad you could feel it Hawk-ustus. I'm still feeling it while editing.
Yes, and I'm kinda lazy too. I slept for 10 hours!
Cold and windy sure is fun when you're snuggled in the hammy.
Lasagana is my favorite. Mmmm Mmmm
You're making me miss the woods already.
Great stuff dude.
Fronkey
best "Tilt-A-Whirl" ride ever! thanks man.

That is a sharp lookin' hat! Been eyeballing those for a while, big fan of the merino wool.
Every you time you eat those Hawk Vittles, my stomach rumbles...
Cheers!
Sounds like a great plan... have a little din din, crawl right in the hammy and snooze out! That camp site has put your battery on rapid charge! It sure is a stylish hat you have there, to be sure! Yes, it’s good to see you back in the hammy! I’m hoping for breakfast and coffee from the hammock in part three.
