Wow...what a journal! Great pic's and video.
It was a great hike. I could have been happy with 16 mi. but glad we finished the whole hike. Lesson: When FLRider chows down, you'd better do the same!
After having the area to ourselves, it was quite the surprise when over 20 folks came strolling in between 2:45 and 3 pm on Saturday. Then a few more later in the afternoon and evening. All told about 27 extras from Fri. nite to Sat nite. I had no idea that Hidden Pond was THE destination in ONF. Yeah, I was glad I gathered all my water before the public bathing episode!
Great weather, good hiking, and good company.

Sounds like you guys had a great time. Thanks for taking us along on the journey.
Thanks!
You were a trooper out there on the trail; nary a complaint the whole day.
Hadn't realized that there were that many folks who stopped on through. It was officially the most folks I've seen at that campsite, though.
Those photos of yours a beautiful, as always. You have a great eye for color and lighting, emcee.
We most definitely did. You're welcome.
Thanks for the pictures and extraordinary report. The video is fun as always. I'm glad to hear that you are now a married man. Somehow I missed it earlier.
No problem.
Been in a state of bliss...well, getting along as well as any two humans can when one of 'em is me (I'm kinda ornery)...since March of '10. We met in March of '08, and realized that we wanted to spend our lives together by August (actually, I figured that out by May, but took a little longer to get the nerve up to say we should think about moving in together; I always was a little trepidatious about personal relationships). The rest just kinda followed that, and I can't say I've ever been happier about a decision I made.
Though taking an hammock along on camping trips is somewhere around two decisions below that ...
Losing your favorite hat on the trail $24.99 ... finding it months later ..$00.00 ... The smile on your face ..Priceless .. sure did miss being out there with you guys .. great journalism on top of it all !!
Great write up and pics. Can't wait for the Hang in Jan.
