Hello from NW Florida
I also am new to hammocking. I just received my HH Explorer Dlx, but have yet to use it. None of the trees in my yard are suitable, either to close together or to far apart. I go on long motorcycle trips, and as I have read here, my hammock will be more versatile than the tent I have been using. Am looking forward to learning even more of the vast information available here. Thanks for being here!! :)

Welcome from Southern Ohio. If you haven't checked it out yet I would start with Shugs noobs series of videos on YouTube. It's a 10 part series, here is the link to the first one

That is the perfect start to get a foundation for hanging and very entertaining, just be careful you may find yourself with a Shug addiction LOL! No seriously, be careful :) and this forum is top notch, great bunch!
Have fun it's a great adventure!

Welcome from NW Arkansas! I second the recommendation of Shug's videos. I would also recommend Derek Hanson's The Ultimate Hang book and website. Derek posts here as Dejoha. His illustrations and infographics are really helpful.
