While still trying to get my first real hammock I have narrowed down my two options. I would like some input and thoughts.
HH Expedition deluxe with Typhoon tarp or WBBB 1.7 DL with superfly????
Let me know your thought....

A bit apples to oranges. The Expedition is a single layer and fits someone up to 6". The Typhoon tarp is 120"x90". The BB DL is of course a double layer and fits someone up to 6' 8". The Superfly tarp is 132"x120".
Both options are quality products.
I would go withe BB just my 2 cents worth
I have had both a HH Exped and a WBBB 1.1 DL, and as far as the hammocks go I would definitely give the nod to the blackbird. I basically bought the HH because the price was right, but hanging around here too much hearing folks rave about the BB...I had to see for myself. I liked them both, but I do like the BB better.
Are you sure you are not thinking of the HH explorer deluxe vs expedition? The explorer is a little bigger so I think they it might be more comparable to the BB 1.7.
Here is a previous discussion in case it might be helpful.

As Mak mentioned, the Explorer would be a better compairison. Having both the BB would be my pick. I like the DL, the roominess, the shelf among other things. And I simply paired it with the tarp I wanted.
I debated quite a while between a Hennessy and a WBBB. I went with the WBBB DL 1.7 and couldn't be happier!
