I had to practice one of my desserts for the Goat Island Hang before I sprung it on the general public.
I've never baked a cheesecake in a Dutch Oven before today.
I believe chocoholics will be pleased with this
Godiva Chocolate Almond Cheesecake.

Oh my I'm getting hungry!!!!!! The pontoon boat is ready to go. Yee-haaa.... I can hardly wait, I'm getting antsy....
Charleston bound. When I get back on Thursday and l that just means one more day to Goat Island. Woo hoo! Can't wait I'm so excited I can almost taste it.
Muskrat, I can't believe we haven't met yet. Where have you been? :woot:
Family life and personal agendas seem to dictate my availability for camping events. Goat Island is a must, completing the AT and the Foothills is a must, camping in the summer is a Not-So-Much, and that doesn't include my schedule for two active daughters who just completed six years of competitive gymnastics.... And to think, I have to get some wife time in and the yard work done. I'm tired just from writing this...
I will say that I have made a promise that I intend to keep and that is to attend this coming Florida Hang in January. I talked a few years ago about getting an SC group to travel down to Ocala FL but my plans changed and that fell through for me. This year is different. My calendar has the month of January booked until I know the exact dates of the hang. I'm going. If there are others that would like to group up and commute to FL together, we can discuss further on the island. In turn, Timberr and Gumbo (FL Hang Co-Organizers) have agreed to come to the 2014 Goat Island Hang. I am hopeful others will come with them. (Hmmmm.... may need to rent a shrimp boat...).
Less than 3 more days until its time for Island Fever!
I may be up for that Fl Hang too. Have to wait and see though.
How will folks let us know they need a ride over to the island???
