What foods do you all take for meals other than the hot dog type pitch in?
Just backpacking alone or with small groups, we all went self sufficient, like cold stuff, not cooking much, or do you all bring stuff to cook and share through out the weekends?
Again, I am asking for your tips here. Much appreciated! :D

Well some stuff on my menu for the RRG hang out is:
Bison Fajita Tacos
Penne pasta w/ chicken, Alfredo sauce, and sun dried tomatoes.
Idohoan Potatos with bacon
Bacon biscuit
Potato soup
Oatmeal
Various other stuff like granola, dried fruit, peanut butter, and trail bars
I will also bring some store bought backpacking meals that I have lying around.
Thanks, looks like there is no difference from a normal backpacking trip.

dutch oven cobbler and home baked cobbler
barbeque pork

I'm eating with you, HC! I've got raisin, date and walnut oatmeal with extra raisins, walnuts and a swirl of honey and coffee for breakfast. Lunch is snacking around with the typical hiker fare; trail mix, pop tarts, Kashi bars, etc. Dinner Friday night will be Max Patch Mac and Cheese from Enertia Trailfoods with some tuna or chicken added to it. Just so I don't have to drink plain water all weekend long, I've got Propel powder to add for flavor to some of my H2O.Quote:
