VB clothing normally doesn't apply until the temps get pretty low. Wearing them above freezing can be counterproductive.
I have one of their shirts as well as their socks. The shirt works great, but I'm not as enthusiastic about their socks. A couple of bread bags sandwiched between a thin liner sock and a thicker sock can work as well if not better. Again, don't bother unless it's well below freezing.
picked up a 4XL down jacket at JCP for $28.... now to learn how to cut and sew.
all seem like good ideas to me
