The small Figure 9 is rated at only 50 lbs which would make it harder to tear the tarp before exceeding the rating on the Figure 9.
It may only be rated to 50 pounds but I bet you can put a whole lot more pull on it than that without it breaking!

Something to think about.
If you are using tarp tensioners it would be really easy not to put too much force on them. Just pull it out so that there is an inch or so left for the tensioner to stretch.
