I've been known to take a few inches off the width off this fabric. It sure is nice to have a choice instead of wishing it was a few inches wider.

I read this and thought why not? Used the end of my first roll to make a single layer Friday night. Hung in it for a few hours Saturday. It seems solid enough, but I will be extra careful to keep zippers and such away from it.

I've got one done that I have slept in overnight and had no problems with. I was waiting to get the pictures put together for the whole setup before I posted, but I'll give you a teaser. It's a single layer of the ACU that weighs in at 1.0 oz/yd (not the 1.1 stated). I cut down the width to a finished length of 58". It weighs in at a measly........

My 11'x5' with stretch side mod and 8' whoopie slings weighs in at 9.1oz.

To dukedante and gmcttf:
if you don't mind, would you share your weight with us so I can compare how my 200#s will fair in a single layer.
