Wind River 2011
Only seven more days till I'm back in the WINDS!!!!!! :D:D:D
We are going in at Big Sandy TH for a 6-7 day adventure. I was there 2 years ago and we made a deal that we would be back again and it's almost time.... We will be packed for snow....WOOT!!!!!!!!

That looks like Fremont Peak, about the middle of the range. But we have only gone into the Winds to the west of Fremont one time. It is really spectacular up that way, but trees are kind of scarce, if memory serves. At least once you get in very close to Fremont in the Titcomb basin area. But I wasn't yet a hanger, so I probably didn't pay much attention to if, despite a scarcity of trees there were still enough trees here and there to get by.
On one horse packing trip, I went in at Boulder Lake Lodge. All other times I have gone in at Big sandy. I love it, it is my favorite place on Earth!

Sense I have not been in a couple of years, I will really be looking forward to your report and living vicariously through you! You might want to take some bear spray, Grizzly are becoming more common in the Winds, even as far south as Big Sandy.

I am so jealous of your trip, that is going to be an amazing adventure. Please take lots of pictures and video and do a trip report. I'll be keeping my eye open for your return. Be safe and have fun dude!
