I've now tested Triangle thingies on both Traveler and Blackbird and it works very well on the Blackbird, which has a mosquito net. The mosquito net help the sides of the Triangle from the compressed against each other.
Sorry no pictures, but I promise it has happened:lol::lol:
Rawhike, with due respect....no pics, well it may have happened in your mind; and that's probably a good place for it to happen...I just can't go there :)
Great, pictures make things happen!
Looks nice, would like to do the same.....not yet, but soon. I hope!
Okay, am I being dense in thinking that it would be simpler/lighter to just have a prussik loop a few inches down the ridgeline?

Very good question! Kind of like thinking outside the box, in this case, the triangle :)
I think we need to look at two cases. The first would be a hammock with a bug net. I'd say the triangles fit that situation perfectly.
Without a bug net, the prussik has real possibilities! I can't think of any negatives.
Aahh, the bugnet, I'd forgotten about that detail. Thanks!
