Intro from SE Washington
Greetings HF,
Dan here, from SE WA. Got back into backpacking (tent) 6 years ago and stumbled across this hammocking thing last summer. After much lurking on this site, JustJeff's and others I decided the hammock might be the cure to my restless ground sleeping due to the aches in my old shoulders and hips after a long day on the trail. Got my 1st hammock and after 1 night I was totally sold. Never going to the ground again, not intentionally anyway.
Great forum and I really appreciate the tons of information and experience that is shared here - thanks!

Welcome to HF, DanD76! I am catercorner(sp?) across the country from you, in the mid-south. But, I had a sweet trip hanging in the Olympics a couple of years back. The huge trees were a challenge, but we still managed to find some small enough to wrap webbing around. Got no hassle at all from the ranger at Olympic guard station. Great country!
