Footbox : Sewn or Snaps?
I saw there are a couple of older threads about this but I wanted to see if anyone has changed their mind or if anyone has anything to add about the subject.
Unless something changes, most of my camping doesn't go below 15* - 20* and normally closer to 25* - 30*.

to me it doesn't matter but no option for that

Sewn 100%.
IMHO, I'd prefer to have the quilt be able to perform at maximum efficiency for when it is at the low end of the cold spectrum.
When it is at the high end of the heat spectrum, I just stick my feet out of the footbox and lay it over me.
I'd rather have the quilt be able to keep me warmer when it's cold than be able to vent if too hot.

I like a sewn foot box on my burrows. YMMV

I use snaps or drawstrings for 20 degrees and warmer. I like the ability of opening it full up. For my winter set, I have ordered the sewn in.

I prefer sewn up for winter weather. To me, a nice warm quilt with 4 inches of loft and a draw string footbox is an oxymoron since you will not likely need to vent. Rather, you will want to retain as much heat as possible. The exact oposite arguement applies in the summer when I prefer a draw string footbox. For 3-season, take your pick. When in doubt, I'd rather be warm than cold. You can always kick your feet out of a sewn up footbox, but you can't match its insulating power with a drawstring closure. My 2 cents.

I prefer snaps. I've never had a problem with my quilt performing at its rated temperature despite not being sewn at the footbox. Just plug it with a sock and your good. I've found its nice to be able to lay the quilt out flat to dry it out and it's nice to use it flat at warmer temperatures.

my HG 7D Winter Burrow is sewn

I have to have a way to vent so I pick snaps and draw cord.

The wife has to have her's snapped with draw string to vent as she is super hot natured..its got to be the Native American in her...me I like my foot box sewn..however,,with my new super flame thrower socks from AE...looking forward to using snaps/with draw stringy,,,lol...and I really like the idea of having to be able to use it flat or drying it out with it unsnaped etc...I lean more towards snaps/drawstring.
