Zaleskis good, nice, farmiliar, multiple hiking options. The buckeye trail sounds cool too.
Wilecoyote, sounds like you'd fit in, haha. The area tendertoe is talking about is about 1/2 past the 2nd camp (camp D) its a short hike but all up hill. I don't know what shape you're in but if you're up for that I'd be more than happy to help carry your gear and take our time up. I have spoke with the forest ranger at zaleski and he said they're fine with you parking along the forest roads so long you're out of the way and leave a not in your car explaining your plan.
What about mohican? I hear the "back country" sites are along the trail with parking areas also fairly close. There are pictures of the sites on
