I have a tarp and its Diy, but its heavy and that's something I am looking into changing in the future but I am wanting something lighter than what I have now. what would be something to change to that is much lighter? well what is something that you prefer?
Silnylon is fairly light and makes a terrific tarp.

I too started with a diy tarp made from a superlight fabric found at WM. .65 oz./ square yd IIRC. After coating it 3 times with diy silicone, and it would still mist thru, it weighed more than the Tadpole I have now and I probably had as much money in it.
