They look very professionally made to me. Sorry for my newbie-ness but what do ya use 'em for?
Paul at Arrowhead Equipment has them professionally available. It will give you an idea of how to use them here.
As stated above, used to suspend an UQ. By moving the attachment points to a better position, they are supposed to create a better fit. There's a number of threads here on HF on them if you want to do a little light reading. :D
I first tried these out on my DIY UQ by making a pair from some nylon line (no fabric - just tied 3 loops in a triangle), and liked the results. Another easy DIY that requires no special equipment or skill other than tying a knot! Those would work fine on my netless DIY hammock but I'd be afraid of using them with a hammock that had an attached net. The fabric should hopefully alleviate any wear to a bugnet.
Thanks and nice job. Question - are these worthwhile to have for a full-length UQ? I can definitely see the advantage of using on shorter UQ's. Am waiting on delivery of my HG UQ and thinking about making a pair as my first DIY thread injector project - but wondering if they will even be useful on a full-length?
I tried to sew some up a couple of months back, an epic failure, they were entirely too small for how I needed them to fit. As an alternative I now just use a method with cord and knots in the shape of a triangle. It's quick to whip up, no sewing, and you can do up several sizes for different types of hammocks in like no time at all. Doesn't have the refined look that these do, but it's easy enough for anyone.
